Today we are VERY MUCH enjoying trying to crop a video and transcode from h264 to HEVC using ffmpeg‘s CUDA acceleration buggers up the aspect ratio because it somehow keeps the, uh, canvas(?) at the original size whilst having the actual output pixels at the cropped size.
Works fine when going h264 − h264. Adding “playback crop” metadata for HEVC doesn’t work. Adding scaling or -size doesn’t work. WTAF have you wrought, video s…

We derive an effective equation for the dynamics of many identical bosons in dimension one in the presence of a tiny impurity.
